At this 14th Congress of the European Federation of Internal Medicine, Prof Daniel Sereni (FDIME President) and Prof Loic Guillevin (Chairman of the Grant Selection Board) officially presented the FDIME Research Grant Award from 2014.
The award ceremony took place during EFIM Young Internists General Assembly.
A presentation cheque for € 20,000 and an Award Certificate were presented to the 2014 Grant Recipient: Dr Patricio Ricardo da Terra AGUIAR from Lisbon, Portugal.
Dr Aguiar’s Research Study Project entitled: ‘Early markers of heart and kidney damage in Fabry’s disease’ is being carried out at the University College & Royal Free Hospital, London commencing October 2014, for a period of 2 years.
